HURRICANE CHARLEY
- Cross Creek was very
fortunate to have winds at only about 70 miles an hour, all we lost
was about 60 trees on the golf course, and about 5 light post, the
batting cage and the new shingles that were being installed on
the gazeboes.
Imagine what they suffered in other areas when the winds were over
100 miles an hour.
We lost our power at
the start of the storm last Friday at 2:30 and it never came on
again until Wednesday night at 6:30. Unless you had a generator, your
food was ruined.
We did not have time
to label each picture, but if you are from Cross Creek I think you
will be able to figure out where the tree or bush went down. None of
the greens were damaged by a tree. As far as we can determine there
did not seem to be any structural damage, our Club House did not
leak and we did not lose any tiles. Don't have the total cost for
the food in the Club House freezer but most of this lost should be
covered by our insurance.
